Marilyn Randall
"A person with her vitality, certainly is a rarity."

Let's see, what have I been doing for the last 45 years?
All I can tell you is that life keeps getting better all the time.
The upcoming Reunion has had me looking at my scrapbooks and thinking about all of you.
We were so fortunate to have been born and raised when we were. And to have gone to school in this small town and graduated with a small (80) class where many of us have stayed in touch. What a good feeling to meet last Saturday with classmates, most of whom I have known for 50 years or more.

The first friend I can remember is Nancy Stepan; we lived across Washington St. from one another before we started school at Bowar Avenue. My mother often told me about Nancy cutting my hair in bangs like she wore. Even after that, Nancy and I are still friends. That's special. Joylene and I rode to Lake Bruin together last weekend . We were best friends and college roommates. We can pick up the conversation as though it never stopped. That's special. I probably have memories like that of each of you. (Some I won't tell.) Each of you has a place in my history and a place in my heart. And that's special. My husband Bob and I have been married over 35 years and I still think he is the most interesting person I have ever met. We have both grown, changed (and perhaps morphed); we' ve walked parallel paths and talked all the way. We raised five children and now have six wonderful grandchildren. We've lived in MS, LA, TX, SC, ME and now are back in MS. I retired from the Corps of Engineers last fall. Remember, I retired from a job---not from life. I love having a more flexible schedule. I seem to be doing more, with the difference being that now I set my own agenda and schedule. Bob is national sales manager for a company out of MR and travels extensively. When not travelling, he works out of our home and I like that. I travel with him occasionally, when it's someplace fun. The week after the Reunion in Oct, we will go to Wyoming for an elk hunt. Last year we went to AK - me for the third time; Bob has been many more. I still read a lot, about almost anything. I'm full of incidental knowledge, but an expert on nothing. This year I'm enjoying scratching around in my yard. I dig, prune, weed, plant, fertilize and water early each morning. When the sweat drips off my earlobes, I come in. I can't decide if I have changed a lot or not changed at all. Come to the Reunion so I can see if you have changed.
