Hazel Buchholtz Myers died on April 14, 2018. She was 81 years old.

Hazel was born in Burlington, Wisconsin, but lived in Vicksburg for most of her life.

She was a member of the Bovina Baptist Church, and was a 1954 graduate of Carr Central High School. Hazel served 19 years as secretary for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served 10 years as a supervisor contract specialist. She also received the Commanders Award for Civilian Services.

After her retirement, she was a substitute teacher for the Vicksburg Warren School District.

She is survived by her daughter, Alice Jones; her two sons, Troy Jackson Myers Jr., and John Thomas Myers; her brother, John Buchholtz; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 9 a.m. with funeral service at 11. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetary with the Rev. Ron Burch officiating.

Pallbearers will be Troy Myers, John Myers, Joshua Myers, Caleb Myers, Jay Woodruff and Ron Horne.
